About 200 people were on hand Thursday for a ground-breaking ceremony that celebrated renovations and new construction for Pleasant Grove Independent School District.

“The Pleasant Grove Independent School District continues to grow to meet the needs of the students and the community,” said Robert Sheppard, PGISD’s School Board president as Superintendent Margaret Davis, Texarkana, Texas Mayor James Bramlett, board member Kathleen Young and sophomore student Cole Riddell sat nearby on a stage.
