Man pleads guilty to counterfeiting
A local man pleaded guilty Thursday afternoon to printing counterfeit cash with a color copier and attempting to pass it at a local convenience store.
“Well, I needed some money,” said Charles Kevin Clayton when Federal Judge David Folsom asked him about the crime. Clayton, 33, who lives in the Liberty-Eylau area, was arrested Oct. 3, 2007, after attempting to pass some funny money at the Lakeway Country Store on U.S. Highway 59 South in Texarkana, Texas.
