Man says he copied racist memo

Former road department employee says he found paper in foreman’s office

A former Miller County employee says he copied a memo allegedly from Miller County Judge Roy John McNatt that asked for help “getting rid of blacks” in the road department.

J.O. Dixon said he made a copy of the memo he found in a basket on the desk in the road foreman’s office in Fouke. He said he found the memo March 30, 2005—the same date the memo was allegedly issued.

He said the memo stayed in his safe until after he was reportedly terminated from the road department by McNatt.
