The deadline to register for disaster assistance from storm damage earlier this spring has been extended to June 27, says a state emergency management official.

FEMA officials said Miller and Hempstead counties are now eligible for “individual assistance” grants for repairs from damage created by severe storms, tornadoes and flooding which occurred March 18 through April 28.
