The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is an opportunity for the community to get involved in the fight against cancer.

The event will take place from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday at the Four States Fairgrounds. The theme for this year’s walk is ‘Cruising for the Cure’.

Approximately 25 teams have signed up to walk all night, raising awareness and money for a good cause.

“It’s kind of like a big tailgate party, except we’re walking for the fight against cancer,” said Nancy Barth, a cancer survivor and event chairman.
