Texas Mayoral Election Results: Jefferson: Bob Avery
Jefferson, Texas has a new mayor.
Bob Avery, an accountant, defeated attorney William A. "Bill" Smith and Alexandra C. Holton, a retired investor, in a three-way race. Avery got 262 votes, Smith garnered 146 and Holt 55. In the race for alderman in Ward 1, incumbent Mary M. Edmond beat Shonte A. Epperson in a two-way race 75 to 49.
