Bowie County Commissioners Court to discuss alcohol ballot
Bowie County Commissioners Court meets at 10 a.m. today to consider putting on the Nov. 4 general election ballot the legal sale of alcoholic and mixed beverages in the City of Nash.
That would allow Nash voters to decide for or against the measure on Election Day. Early voting will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 20-31 at Nash City Hall. On April 14, Elections Administrator George Stegall presented the court with 290 signatures on a petition requesting the alcohol measure be placed on the ballot. A similar proposal was narrowly defeated in a mid-1980s vote. Log-In to view full story or view our Registration Guide.
