Brothers charged in assault of 12-year-old girl to be tried in July
Two brothers charged with the alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl at an after-prom party in 2004 are scheduled to be tried together in July.
Aaron Johnson and Charles Johnson appeared before 202nd District Judge Leon Pesek in a Bowie County courtroom Monday afternoon. Aaron Johnson was 27 when the incident occurred while Charles Johnson was 18. Aaron Johnson is being represented by Jeff Harrelson of Texarkana and Charles Johnson is being represented by Rick Shumaker of the Bowie County Public Defenders Office. Harrelson is court appointed.
