Senior olympics day postponed to June 18
The senior olympics scheduled for today at Spring Lake Park has been canceled because of bad weather in the forecast.
The event has been rescheduled for June 18. Dierksen Memorial Hospice is sponsoring the inaugural long-term care and senior olympics day in observance of National Nursing Home Week and Senior Health Month. The rescheduled event will feature a parade, banner contest and games, including horseshoes, bingo and dominoes.
