The Chancellor Search Committee for the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope has narrowed the field to two candidates.

School officials said the committee has invited Dr. Dusty Johnston of Melbourne, Ark., and lawyer and prosecutor Chris Thomason of Hope to participate in campus visits for the UACCH Chancellor position. 

Former chancellor Dr. Charles Welch recently was named president of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The committee received nearly 60 applications after a worldwide search.
