It was a bittersweet good-bye as hundreds turned out Thursday to bid farewell to former Texarkana, Texas, Mayor James Bramlett, who is leaving office after 10 years.

City officials who have served with Bramlett on both sides of the state line, as well as dozens of his family members, gathered in council chambers of City Hall to make presentations and share stories. The crowd filled every seat, lined the walls and flowed into the hallways.
