Joining hunting clubs, another group has formed and is aimed at stopping the proposed SWEPCO power plant near Fulton, Ark.

A new Austin organization called Texas Electric Ratepayers Alliance announced its opposition Friday to the John W. Turk Jr. Power Plant.

Spokesman Eric Bearse said SWEPCO’s Texas rate payers will get the bill for much of the plant’s expense, but none of the benefits.
