The third time was the charm for Chauncey Deller, capturing the title in the 12th annual Four States Triathlon at Lake Wright Patman Sunday.

Deller, 22, of Tyler, Texas, knocked off a little more than three minutes off his previous best here with a time of 57 minutes, 57 seconds.

The Four States Triathlon was a Southwest Regional Triathlon Sprint Championship event this year.

Ben Hall, a 16-year-old from Ruston, La., made quite an impression with his second place time of 59.46. Adam Wilk, 36, of Plano, Texas was a close third at 59.51.
