HATT panel to discuss federal grant money
The Housing Authority of Texarkana, Texas, will hold its second community meeting on Rose Hill’s revitalization at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Dunbar Elementary School.
The meeting will focus on the housing authority’s plans to reapply for $20 million in federal grant money earmarked for rebuilding three Rose Hill public housing complexes. In late March, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development turned down HATT’s $20 million application that would have helped finance an $85.2 million demolition and rebuilding of Stevens Courts, Griff King Courts and Covington Homes. <...
