Officials: Woman was beaten and left for dead

A 38-year-old Texarkana, Texas, woman is in stable condition at Wadley Regional Medical Center after being beaten in Miller County and left to die, officials said.

The man police suspect beat her was arrested on a Miller County warrant at 8:04 p.m. Sunday by Irving, Texas, police, Miller County Investigator Charla Woodruff said Monday.

“She is at Wadley and currently still in ICU in stable condition. She has received some minor surgeries,” said Woodruff.

Police are withholding the victim’s name to protect her.
