Police enforce ‘Click it or Ticket’ campaign

Police departments on both sides of the state line are conducting a “Click it or Ticket” campaign until June 1 trying to crackdown on motorist ignoring seatbelt laws.

Texarkana, Ark., Police Department arrested 10 for driving while intoxicated violations while enforcing Click it or Ticket last weekend.

“There will be zero tolerance for those that don’t wear their seatbelts or who decide to drink and drive,” said Officer Kristi Mitchell, TAPD spokesman.

The Click it or Ticket Campaign is being held nationwide and has been highlighted in Arkansas with weeklong TV, radio and newspaper advertising.
