Vietnam veterans ask for help, donations in caisson repair
The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 278 is asking for either donations or a company interested in helping repair a caisson, which received damage during a 2004 building fire in downtown Texarkana.
The vintage caisson dates at least to Texarkana’s 1929 Union Station building. It was used during and after World War II to carry the remains of deceased servicemen brought back for home burial.
