Speed and a “blind curve” may have been factors in a dump truck rollover accident and engine fire Tuesday afternoon on U.S. Highway 82, police said.

Driver Gregory Castille, whose name and address were not immediately available, had injuries that were not life-threatening. It was his first day of work with Rich Hargrove Trucking Co. out of Ashdown, Ark.

“He seemed to be OK. His leg was hurting. It scared him more than anything,” Hargrove said of Castille, who was taken from the scene by LifeNet ambulance.
