A homeless man accused of sexual misconduct with a 13-year-old girl whose father gave him shelter pleaded not guilty Monday in a Bowie County courtroom.

Bobby Allen Poe, 39, appeared with Texarkana defense lawyer Derrick McFarland of the Public Defender’s Office before 5th District Judge Ralph Burgess for an arraignment hearing on four counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

A probable cause affidavit shows the crime happened on Oct. 13, 2007.
