Nevada County swung the election Tuesday for incumbent 8th District North Circuit Court Judge Duncan Culpepper.

Culpepper received a two-county total of 2,745 votes or 59 percent to be re-elected, while Keith Wood had 1,943 votes or 41 percent.

The circuit judge serves Hempstead and Nevada counties.

Wood carried Hempstead County with 1,461 votes while Culpepper had 1,138 votes.

But in Nevada County, Culpepper collected 1,607 votes while Wood had 482.
