The Girl Scouts of Conifer Council plan to expand summer programming after building a new $200,000 building at Camp Karlton Kemp on U.S. Highway 82, about 8 miles out of Texarkana.

“This will allow us to offer summer day camp this year,” said Cheryl Brown, executive director of the Conifer Council. “We have not done a day camp program at Camp Kemp in more than 10 years.”
