Judge: Confession OK’d as evidenceFirst-degree murder trial slated for June in car salesman’s death
A tape-recorded and hand-written confession by the suspect in the shooting death of an Ashdown businessman will be admitted as evidence during the June 16-17 trial in the Little River County Circuit Court, a judge ruled Tuesday.
Ninth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Ted Capeheart made the ruling during a pretrial hearing to consider the confession and a motion by defense attorney Bill McLean of El Dorado, Ark., to suppress the evidence.
