Race fans get ready to start your engines as the Bulldog 100 mini-NASCAR race festivities kick off today.

The event is an annual fund-raiser for Texarkana College’s Rising Star Scholarship fund.

The races have been a successful vehicle as a means of building the fund with this year’s festivities expected to raise $100,000 dollars for the college.

The event, now in its fourth year, will host 58 cars racing toward the coveted first-place trophy.

Last year’s champion, Hooks Independent School District, will return to defend its title.
