TISD principal, counselor chosen for conferences

Two Texarkana Independent School District staff members have been chosen to attend conferences this summer.

Marsha Burris, principal, OPTIONS Academic Alternative High School, is one of 100 principals chosen by Raise Your Hand Texas to attend the RYHT Leadership Program at the Summer Institutes, Harvard Graduate School of Education. Burris will attend the Leadership Program during the National Institute of Urban School Leaders July 20-25 in Boston.

The program recognizes quality campus leadership is a key component of the success of public schools.
