Crossett man sentenced in drug trafficking case
A Crossett, Ark., man who played a major role in trafficking drugs in Texas and Arkansas was recently sentenced to 110 months in prison.
Michael Brown, 38, of Crossett, Ark., appeared before Federal Judge Harry Barnes May 23 for sentencing on drug trafficking and money laundering charges levied against him for activities in El Dorado, Magnolia and Texarkana. According to testimony, worked with Carl James Easter, 35, to recruit drug dealers and distribute meth and cocaine from 2001 to 2007. Easter received 210 months in prison from Barnes in April.
