First United Methodist Church, Hooks, Texas, will welcome its new pastor and his wife, the Rev. Keith and Veleta Ducroz, during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday.

Their work at the church marks the minister’s first appointment since entering the Certified Lay Minister’s program.

The Ducroz family moved to the area from West Columbia, Texas, in 1990, and now live in Maud, Texas.

Lunch will be served after the service and the public is invited. The church is at 121 Roosevelt St.
