The event to honor and support Texarkana College President Frank Coleman’s continued leadership at the college has been postponed.

School officials said after learning of the event originally planned for Thursday in the college’s Truman Arnold Student Center, Coleman was surprised and touched.

However, he believes it is inappropriate to use campus time and facilities for such an event.

To honor Coleman’s request, the event has been postponed.
