Local businesses and restaurants seem to remain unscathed more than a week after the Food and Drug Administration recalled certain types of raw tomatoes that appear to be linked to a salmonellosis outbreak.

According to a report from the Associated Press the Red Plum, Red Roma, Round red tomatoes are all implicated in the salmonella outbreak.

Travis Strate, manager of TaMolly’s located at 3310 St. Michael Dr. in Texarkana, says he sees no adverse effects from the June 3 recall.

“Our business has been as good or better,” Strate said.
