The blasting caps were found in the attic of the abandoned barber shop and the explosives were from the 1950s, said one of the bomb squad members. The bomb squad used a control explosion to detonate the blasting caps away from houses and buildings in Ben Lomond, which has a population of 126 and is located in southeast Sevier County. A controlled explosion Tuesday shook Main Street in Ben Lomond, a town with a population of 126 people in southeast Sevier County. The antique blasting caps were found in the attic of the former Ben Lomond Barber Shop on Tuesday morning, said a report from the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department. The blasting caps dated back to at least the 1950s, said Capt. Jason Weaver of the Little Rock Fire Department, who is also a member of the bomb squad. Th...
