Housing Authority discusses plans for Rose Hill community
The look and design of future apartments in the proposed revitalization of the Rose Hill community was the focal point of the Housing Authority of Texarkana, Texas’, final community meeting Tuesday.
The meeting, held at Dunbar Elementary School, focused on the housing authority’s plans to reapply for $20 million in federal grant money earmarked for rebuilding three Rose Hill neighborhood public housing complexes. All three sites are outdated and too compact for today’s families. Covington Homes and Stevens Courts date to 1940, while Griff King Courts dates back to 1954...
