Murder suspect arrested in California

The primary suspect in a local murder case has been arrested in Stockton, Calif., and will be brought back to face justice, Texarkana, Texas, police said.

Luther Caldwell, 43, of Texarkana, Texas, was arrested in San Joaquin County in California on an arrest warrant issued by the Texas-side Police Department, said Sgt. Shawn Fitzgerald, a police spokesman.

“Caldwell allegedly shot and killed Gregory Lorenzo Thomas on Sept. 12, 2007,” said Fitzgerald.
