While some kids forget to do their reading, writing and arithmetic over the summer, youth attending a local program are keeping up with studies and learning lifelong lessons.

Anthony Ware, pastor of Miles Chapel CME Church, and F.L. Smith, pastor of Canaan Baptist Church, have partnered to bring a host of lessons to youth who attend the six-week Our Kids First summer enrichment program.

“We want to supplement what they were doing at school and help them with social needs,” Ware said.
