Texarkana Regional Airport: Airport increases surchargeRound-trip tickets to Dallas now cost an extra $20

Some of the nation’s biggest airlines raised most domestic round-trip fares by an additional $20 over the weekend, adding to the strain on consumers now paying an average of more than $4 a gallon for regular gas. American Eagle customers taking passenger flights out of Texarkana Regional Airport to Dallas will soon feel another pinch of soaring jet fuel prices. As of Wednesday, customers buying round-trip tickets on flights from here to Dallas will pay an extra $20, bringing the fuel surcharge to $150, said Andrea Huguely, spokesman for American Eagle. The increase resulted after American Airlines failed in another attempt to raise air fares. American Airlines and American Eagle are owned by the same parent company...
