Murder suspect pleads innocent
The suspect in the shooting death of the manager of the Nashville, Ark., Family Dollar Store entered a plea of innocent Wednesday in Howard County Circuit Court.
Harry Eugene Surber, 37, of Ashdown, Ark., entered the plea on the charge of first-degree murder. He remains in the Howard County jail with a $500,000 bail. Circuit Judge Charles Yeargan set a pre-trial hearing for Nov. 5 and a trial date of Dec. 2, said Lynette Dowdle, victim witness case coordinator for Prosecutor Tom Cooper.
