The pets of the week are Barney, a neutered male cat whose owner passed away, and Snoopy, a 2-year old male beagle. Barney, whose front paws are declawed, is in cage C-2 and Snoopy is in cage D-16.

The Texarkana Animal Shelter has 67 dogs, nine puppies, 32 cats and 37 kittens for adoption, said a shelter official. There were 32 adoptions in the past week.
