Men jailed for allegedly shocking catfish
Electroshocks are not therapeutic to catfish and two men caught administering the shocks Saturday into the Red River near New Boston, Texas, were arrested and fined.
Kyle Martin, 22, of New Boston and Curt Johnson, 24, of Fouke, Ark., were both arrested about 3 p.m. Saturday by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission and booked into the Little River County Jail with $1,105 fines each for the offense, said Arkansas Wildlife Officer Cpl. Jackie Runion. The two were released Monday. “The odds of them doing it was slim,” said Runion. “Have you ever heard of a Skoal-box?” Log-In to view full story or view our Registration Guide.
