SWEPCO asking for 29-mile electrical line at plant
An application for a proposed 29-mile-long electrical transmission line has been filed by Southwestern Electric Power Co. with the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
SWEPCO filed the application in Little Rock on Tuesday for a “Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need.” The proposal would construct a 345-kilovolt transmission line that would carry 345,000 volts of electricity from Bowie County, Texas, to the proposed power plant near Fulton, Ark.
