A Texarkana, Ark., man died Tuesday following a bicycle accident with a car near the intersection of Richmond Road and Blake Street in Texarkana, Texas.

The 46-year-old man was not identified at presstime Tuesday pending notification of the victim’s family, said Officer Ed Emilia, Texarkana, Texas, police spokesman.

The accident occurred as the man was riding a bicycle north in the inside, southbound lane of Richmond Road. He was struck after he attempted to turn left onto Blake Street, in front of a car traveling south in the outside lane, said Emilia.
