Texarkana girls fared well last week at the Miss Texas and Miss Teen Texas pageants in Fort Worth and the Miss Teen Arkansas pageant in Hot Springs.

Brittany Forrester, Miss North Texas, finished seventh overall and took home the Alpha Swimsuit Award.

Hadley Smith, Miss Teen Dallas, was third runner-up in the teen competition and won awards in overall interview, scholastic achievement, outstanding community service and physical fitness preliminary.

Klancy Johnson, Miss Teen Diamond Lakes, placed in the top 10 out of 34 girls in Arkansas, her mother said. Log-In to view full story or view our Registration Guide.
