The congregation of Chapelwood United Methodist Church recently welcomed its new pastor, the Rev. Danny Carter, and his wife, Linda.

Carter has been in the ministry for nearly four decades and holds a degree from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Much of his church service has been in small towns in the Tyler, Texas, area. He has also been an active member of several emergency medical services and other community groups.
