The list of potential Texarkana, Texas City Council Ward 5 representatives is down to two.

The finalists are attorney Jim Cook and community college administrator Scott Norton. The city council will choose one to fill the unexpired term of Stephen Mayor, elected mayor in May.

Cook has practiced law at Dunn Nutter & Morgan LLP for seven years. A native of Hattiesburg, Miss., he received a bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Mississippi and a law degree at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.
