Inmates indicted in letter threats

Two Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmates were indicted last week for allegedly sending threatening letters to federal judges in Texarkana.

Patrick Neal Womack, 34, and Shane Powers, 25, were both indicted by a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Texas last week for sending threatening communications through the United States mail.

Womack allegedly threatened to injure United States District Judge David Folsom of the Eastern District of Texas in a letter he mailed in June 2007. Folsom presides over a federal court located in Texarkana’s downtown post of...
