A group of citizens is on a mission to open a clinic where uninsured people can receive basic medical care, and they want local churches to foot most of the bill.

“We sent letters to 225 local churches. We expect they’ll come through,” said Francis Hubbard, who helped pen the letter sent to churches and who is very involved in the effort along with a partially formed advisory committee. “Church people are the people concerned about those in need, but it’s not only for church people, it’s to everybody.”
