Texas-side police have released the identity of a man killed in an accident Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Richmond Road and Blake Street.

Avery Powell, 47, of Texarkana, Ark., died at a CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System following the Tuesday accident, said Officer Ed Emilia, TTPD spkesman.

Powell was reportedly riding his bicycle north in the inside, southbound lane of Richmond Road before attempting to turn left onto Blake Street in front of a southbound car, police said.
