A family of four from New York went to area hospitals, and a Denton, Texas, woman was arrested on charges of intoxicated assault following a two-vehicle accident about 3 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 30 near Hooks, officials said.

Hector Rodriguez, 58, was driving a silver Kia Sorento east on I-30 with his wife, Neiva Rosa, 58, his daughter, Jessica Rodriguez, 21, and his grandson Jeremia Rodriguez, 6 months, as passengers.

All of the family members are from the Bronx, N.Y., said Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Steve Munger.
