Scotty Ligon, 36, of Wake Village, Texas, died Monday after being injured last week in a motorcycle accident, his wife said.

Ligon died at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, where he had been in critical condition since the accident.

On July 8, Ligon lost control of his 2007 Yamaha motorcycle on West Seventh Street near Kmart, according to previous news reports.
