The Texarkana, Ark., Historic District Commission will meet at 9:30 a.m. today to consider granting a certificate of appropriateness.

The certificate was requested by Trent and Bethany Hanna to remove 1927-era roofing tiles and replace them with new but similar looking rubber and plastic composite material on top of the Mullins Courts apartments.

The 1928 brick apartments, which are being restored, are at 605 Hickory St., within the Quality Hill Historic District.
