Five new Arkansas State Police troopers were recently assigned to Southwest Arkansas.

Seth Pinner, 23, of Magnolia will be assigned to Lafayette County. He is a graduate of Southern Arkansas University.

Pinner won first place in the physical fitness.

Corwin H. Battle, 27, of Jonesboro will be assigned to Hempstead County. Battle is a graduate of Arkansas State University and the American Military University in Manassas, Va.

Chris Brackett, 37, of Lockesburg will be assigned to Sevier County. He is a former Sevier County deputy.
