With $91,000 budgeted to repair the city’s sewer system, the Wake Village City Council agreed Monday to hire a Texarkana, Ark., firm to do the work.

During its regular monthly meeting, the council agreed to hire Kampco Inc. for $72,532.

During the workshop session prior to the meeting, Wake Village City Administrator Mike Burke told the council that smoke testing conducted last year on the city’s sewer system revealed several leaks.
