The Texarkana, Ark., Historic District Commission agreed Wednesday to issue a certificate of appropriateness to Bethany and Trent Hanna to re-roof their vintage 1927 Mullins Courts apartment complex.

During the meeting, Trent Hanna showed commission members picture slides that display damage to the original concrete composite roof configuration caused by recent hailstorms.

Hanna proposed replacing the original roof with rubber-plastic composite material, which looked similar in color to the original material.
